Lyrics
10 O’CLock on a Friday night
My friends and me are packed in tight
Looking for something to do
Crank it on our favorite tune
Sing it loud & sing it clear
Sing so that the neighbors hear
Bury your troubles in the sand
And, sing along with the band
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
And don’t it, feel alright
On a summer night
And when the world is right
You know that life is good
Loose the jacket. Loose the tie.
Tensions starts to wave goodbye.
So live life…And just be free
Throw your troubles in the sea.
New days and new songs
Yesterday’s already gone.
This moment is our here now
Have fun while you still know how
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
And don’t it, feel alright
On a summer night
And when the world is right
You know that life is good
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
You know that life is good New days and new songs
Yesterday’s already
Friends packed in real tight
Sing a-long to-night
Loose the jacket
Loose the tie and be free
Take all your troubles
Throw them into the sea.
And don’t it, feel alright
On a summer night
And when the world is right
You know that life is good

Lyrics
Waking in the morning to start the day,
(Won’t you wake, Won’t you wake, baby.)
I could pick you up and maybe drive away.
(We’ll drive away. We’ll drive away, baby).
We’ll turn the radio on and maybe sing along.
(We’ll sing along to the melodies of the same songs).
Roll the windows down and feel the summer breeze.
(Can you feel? Can you feel it, baby?)
Take it in stride
Feeling the vibe
Along for the ride
No destination.
Hearing the sound
Can’t bring me down
Finally found
I’m playing the right chords to make it better
Rhyme and rhythm mixed together
Let it stay. Let it stay as long as it may.
(If it may. If it may, we’ll let it stay).
The perfect day; the perfect day to take you away.
(Let’s get away. Let’s get away, baby).
Let there be no hurry.
Ain’t no need to scurry.
So this is the deal.
We might as well chill.
There ain’t nobody on earth that got it better.
Take it in stride
Feeling the vibe
Along for the ride
No destination.
Hearing the sound
Can’t bring me down
Finally found
I’m playing the right chords to make it better
Rhyme and rhythm mixed together
Rhythm and rhythm
It’s like rhyme and rhythm.

Lyrics
When I arrived back home
The place where I was born
Something had changed
Things were exactly the same
But they didn’t feel the same
Everything felt different
And while I have family
Waiting for me I
Think of the family
I will make my own
And I see
That maybe what’s changed is me
I see my parents start to age
Their photos start to fade
I begin to wonder
Will I ever pass on my name?
Will I ever find a place
That’ll be just mine?
And while I have family
Waiting for me I
Think of the family
I will make my own
And I See
That maybe what’s changed is me
I’ve known this girl for some time
And I’m starting to think
That she is lovely
I hope that she feels the same
Though it’s not that way But thing’s can change.
And while I have family
Waiting for me I
Think of the family
I will make my own
And I see
That maybe what’s changed is me

Lyrics
Donnie left home on a Saturday night
In his pickup truck with a broken tail light.
A rolling pile of dents with more rust than paint
And a slanted #3 for his patron saint.
Feeling the heat from a judge’s gavel,
Gave the young man a sudden need to travel
So he left Baytown and he hit I-10
Without the slightest thought of ever coming back again
Donnie left home on a Saturday night
Driving through the dark till the morning light
Life ain’t nothing but an uphill fight
But it’s All Alright.
Got on the interstate and he headed east
Looking for the ‘Land of Plenty’ and a place to eat.
Found a truck stop diner just west of Sulphur,
with a pretty little waitress so he placed his order.
“I’d like some grits and an omelet with extra cheeseâ€
And, I’d also like your telephone number please.â€
So a big romance ensued thereafter,
Pointing straight into the ‘happy ever after’.
Donnie left home on a Saturday night
Sometimes things just seem to work out right
Life ain’t nothing but an easy ride
And it’s All Alright.
Now Donnie’s got a wife, 3 kids, a house and parrot
Makes his living on the top of an oil derrick.
7 days on a rig an hour south of Cameron,
7 days hanging out with his friends and family.
All the passing years have changed the traveling man,
To a Louisiana crawfish eating Tiger fan.
Working hard as he can for those he holds most dear
And living life the way we all do down here.
Donnie leaves home on a Saturday night
Working in the Gulf by the morning light.
12 hard hours of pushing pipe.
And it’s All Alright.
Donnie leaves home on a Saturday night
Driving through the dark till the morning light
Life ain’t nothing but an uphill fight
But it’s All Alright.
Yes. It’s All Alright.
